“They had it sitting center shelf behind the register, the best displayed item in the store. I asked the guy how much he wanted for it and he said $1500, I didn’t really have that. I tried to talk him down on the price and he just kept saying no, he wouldn’t budge. I left the store, I didn’t even look at another guitar. I thought it over for several hours and just knew I had to have it so I went to the bank and withdrew everything I had. When I went back to the pawn shop there was another guy working and I walked up to him and said I had the $1200 for the guitar. He sold it to me no questions asked!”
“The guitar was heavily played prior to my purchase. There are a few dings and scratches in the body and sweat stains on the neck. The case, tremolo bar and the spring plate on the back side were missing when I bought it. I purchased replacements for the bar and plate in the early 2000’s.”
